Silence is golden
Commonly seen at movie theaters right before that epic thing you call a movie starts.
But what if silence wasn't golden
it wasn't this royalty color
but merely a ghastly hand breaking through crust and mantle
making the lips quiver makin the hair tremor like Taiwan
leaving your eyes to swirl like a not too long ago chile.
Silence you yell and beckon to others to shut up
I'd rather sit and hear the what we call pointless conversations.
Silence makes thee cringe at a slow painful death almost inevitable.
Something called a Depression.
It scares me.
I clasp my short hair strands and let my shrieks subdue me for how so ever long they last.
No echos to restrain the tears.
Silence you take that anorexic thing that you call your Index finger and take your colorless and somehow opaque nail and carve Into my chest.
You're a cat
and I'm your tall scratch post that talks and I can't say not one single word because silence is golden.
But what's so golden about it if it makes you want to perch on top of the empire state building and go for a dismount.
Leaving silence broken with you cracking the air.
Soaring through the sky from silence thoughts broken
am I trying to remove myself and let silence live and be this bull crap golden.
With locked eyes I prepare for death only to open them once more
to see the sky blue walls and the ever so shy sun shining into the room.
Overcome by silence.
I caress walls just to keep sound. Scratch at pale skin just to run once more.
Cough when not sick just to keep in front.
Nothing else to hold back silence from catching me.
It soars over me with quiet flapping hawk wings.
Clawing at the eyes.
I half nod and yelp from the tail of my tongue Ugly Silence!
but Well so they say silence is golden.
